Hey everyone!
I just wanted to show you all my latest creation! It watched the arc video from this link http://sketchup.google.com/training/videos/new_to_gsu.html so that I knew how to use it cause I didn't get it... AT ALL!
I made it firstly by drawing a rectangle on the ground and then using the arc tool to form a slight ark at the front of it. I deleted the line to seperate the arc from the rectangle and then used the push/pull tool to lift up the polygon to make the base. I then drew a rectangle on the base and lifted it up to make it 3D. This makes the base and the core. I then drew an arc at the very top of the core of the cupboard and used the push/pull tool to thicken the top. After that I just divided the core of the cupboard and drew lines to indicate the draws and cupboards. The handles were a bit more difficult but I made them by drawing an arc onto the draws (sticking out) and then drawing another one so as to make it into a banana shape and then used the push/pull tool to thicken it!!! =D

Hello Hello!
Just wanted to notify everyone that I decided to challenge myself a little bit by creating walls and doorways on particular angles really close to eachother.
I began facing problems to do with the structure and getting the angles to connect with one another neatly. After a bunch of fails I ended up deleting half of the walls I had made and started again with a fresh mind, and tried again. It made it a lot easier this time because I had a better idea of what I wanted it to look like. =)
Hi all!
Just letting you know that I hit a slight bump in the road while I was trying to create my walk-in cupboard. I had trouble mainly because the doorway was on an angle. It was particularly fiddly because when ever I tried to do the top of the door-way, a roof would appear!
But I figured out how to fix it after about 15-20 minutes of fiddling around with the line, rectangle, easuring and push/pull tools! Now it's all fixed!

Hello Again!!! ;)
I continued with my house and so far I have made a bunch of walls and doors and even a bench in my house. I have made a loungeroom, a kitchen, a play or rumpas room, a bedroom with an ensuite and walk in wadrobe and a study I did this by using the rectangle tool and then making it into a 3D wall using the push/pull tool.
When I make the doors, I try to make them open so they are sort of folded against the wall, and I figured out that when I dra the rectangle, it shows me a kind of circumference to guide me!|
I am so excited that my house is beginning to come together!
Hi everyone....
I tried to make my own house as promised and had a really hard time trying to figure out how to make windows. =/
I tried to just draw squares onto a wall I made but slowly figured out that that wasn't going to work.
Thanks to my friend Louisa, I learnt to draw a rectangle and use the offset tool to create a window frame which I pushed in to make it more obvious. I then divided it into 6 equal squares and used the offset tool again and pushed the windows in a little bit. I followed the same procedure again for the door and... WALLAAA!!
Thanks heap Louisa! ;) <3
